The Western Montana Chapter of Safari Club International (SCI) is a 501(c)(4) organization committed to protecting hunters’ rights and promoting wildlife conservation. For over 15 years, we've supported conservation initiatives, hunter education, and youth programs across Montana. Our work is made possible through the generous support of our members and donors.

We believe that ethical hunting and responsible stewardship are vital to preserving wildlife and wild places—for today and for future generations. Protecting our right to hunt, and the species we pursue, is not only a personal passion but a shared responsibility.

Our mission is grounded in four pillars: conservation, education, advocacy, and humanitarian services. Through these, we work to ensure:

• Wildlife populations are managed sustainably.

• Future generations understand and appreciate the role of hunting in conservation.

• Legislators and policymakers hear and respect the voice of hunters.

• Our natural heritage is preserved for all.

This fight is not always easy. The challenges facing wildlife and hunting come from misunderstanding, apathy, and increasing pressures from development and anti-hunting agendas. These threats require strong advocacy backed by science, education, and collective action.

Unchecked development, habitat loss, and pollution are eroding the foundation of our wild ecosystems. As stewards of nature, we must act—not just react—to preserve what remains and rebuild where we can.

SCI and our chapter stand at the forefront of this effort. We engage in legislative advocacy, support scientific wildlife management, and invest in youth programs that foster the next generation of ethical hunters and conservationists.

Together, we can protect the freedom to hunt, conserve the wildlife we cherish, and ensure that the beauty of wild Montana—and wild places across the globe—endures.
